INTERNATIONAL DELEGATE’S DAY; ,25th April.
This is another important observance day the International delegates day. It a UN declared day that marks the anniversary of the 1st day of the San francisco conference known as UN conference.
It raised awareness on the role of the representative and delegates of the member states to the UN.
Delegates are appointed by their countries, hence they follow the interest of the government they serve. The day is aimed at raising awareness on the role of representatives and delegates of the member states to the UN.
As a delegate, you are an emissary of the government of the respective states. A delegate represent his/her state authentically which means that it is not his opinion that counts.
Civil Society Organisations working on legislations and legislative arm of government organization awareness programme are expected to raise awareness on the day.
