INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY. 08 Sept. Today is observed as International Literacy Day, a day set aside by the United Nations and celebrated by all member nations. The day gives an oppurtunity to express solidarity to Indigenous language. The day focuses on persistent literacy challenges distributed unevenly across countries and population. Embracing linguistic diversity in education and literacy development is central to addressing these literacy challenges and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
