NATIONAL IDENTITY DAY, 16th Sept. The day was approved and recognised by the Federal Government as National Identity Day as a move to create awareness among citizens on the importance of identification as a modern tool for national development and social cohesion. It also aimed at Nigeria joining the coalition for International Identity Day. The day calls on Government agencies, Individuals and Civil Societies and NGOs across the globe to amplifiy on the importance of the day so as to meet up with one of MDGs of 2030.
