UNIVERSAL CHILDREN’S DAY; 20th November.
Today is observed as Universal Children’s Day, a day set aside by UN to promote International togetherness and awareness among children worldwide. UNICEF promotes and coordinates this special day which also works towards improving children’s walfare.
Activities for the day are seen in schools and educational institutions where awareness events are organised by teachers in partnership with INGOs, NGOs working on children to stimulate them of their rights according to the declaration of the rights of children and the convention on the rights of Child.
Jumali and MDSCF as a training academy and NGOs who have children as secondary targets join the world over to commemorate the day.
