WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY; 19th August.
World humanitarian day is celebrated every 19th day of August annually.
The day is dedicated to recognizing humanitarian personnel and those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes
It is a UN declared day established to honour those who make a difference in all societies for the world and inspire others with their energy and enthusiasm.

It is directed towards honouring their efforts worldwide and propagating the idea of supporting people in crisis.
Civil Society Organisations, NGOs both national and international, community based organisations as well as government agencies working on humanitarian cause on this day advocates to authorities and other stakeholders on behalf of the entire humanitarian community.
Themes are set aside every year to create awareness on the contributions all the humanitarian groups who are out in making the world better for people.
Jumali and MDSCF join the world over to commemorate the day.
