INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY, 8TH SEPTEMBER.

Today is observed as International literacy Day celebrated annually on the 8th of September. It s a day aimed at looking into the progress and challenges faced by the world of literacy so as to proper a solution to the lingering problems.

Literacy and the multilingualism in the globalized and digitalised world are some of progress made as well, but they have some implications in policies and practices.

The day reflect some of these issues hoping to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Activities marking the day may range from seminars, conferences and workshops organised by NGOs, CSOs, Government Agencies working on education and other related fields, this will sensitize the public on the literacy and our well-being.

Jumali and MDSCF joined other Civil Societies Organisations(CSOs), Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the rest of the world in the observance of the day
