INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN; 25th November.
The 25th day in the month of November every year is observed as international for the elimination of violence against women.
Women in the society play vital roles socially, economicallly and policallly, violence against women is looked at all levels so as to eliminate the occurrence of such menace.
UNGA declared the day to raise awareness to the public in all member nations. The day is aimed at calling all stakeholders working with women to know the important role played by the women and to call on the elimination of violence against women.
Series of events are held by various stakeholders working with women including CSOs, NGOs both local and International to commemorate the day which confirm with the theme of the year.
Jumali and MDSCF partners in progress also working with women either as first target or secondary join the world of the women to commemorate the day.
