WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT ; 10th November.
The 10th day in November every year is observed as world science day for peace and development, a day that highlights the important role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in debates on emerging scientific issues. The day also outlines the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives.
Linking science more closely with society, the day aims at ensuring citizens are kept informed of development in science, it underscores the role scientist play in broadening our understanding of the remarkable, fragile planet we call home and in making our societies more sustainable.
Civil Society Organisations and their partners join hand to sensitized the public on the importance of the day and call on stakeholders to commemorate the day.
