INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION; 13th October.
The 13th of October is observed as International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, a UN declared Day in a resolution number A/RES/64/200 of UNGA on 2019. It all started in 1989 after a call by the UNGA for a day to promote a global culture of risk awareness and disaster reduction.

To commemorate the day, activities are organised and all centered around thematic areas of Disaster viz; Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Preparedness, Responses, Rehabilitation and Recovery.

The day celebrates how people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disaster and raising awareness about the importance of early warning signals for all. It is a chance to recognize the progress made in addressing vulnerability to disaster and the loss of lives, economies and health.
Jumali join all the stakeholders involved around the world to commemorate the day. Happy INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION from JTSLTA
