Today is observed as World Tourism Day. A day declared by UN General Assembly in its resolution held. It is an industry that play a vital role in providing recreational as well as educational artifacts. The day highlights the shift towards tourism as it is recognized as a crucial pillar of development and progress.
Conferences as well as other sensitization activities were to be held on this day in commemorating the day.
