INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE PROTECTION OF OZONE LAYER; 16th September.

Today is observed as International Day for the protection of Ozone layer. It is annually observed day as it declared by UN to be observed on this day.
It is a layer found around the atmosphere below which air rises and above air stops to rise making the temperature stable.
Ozone layer is a thin layer few centimeters above which provides a cover to the ultraviolet rays of sunshine from impact to the atmosphere.
The layer is important as it is a cover to both flora and fauna above and below.
Human and natural activities and found to cause harm and damage the layer thereby causing global warming and climate change.

On this day, programs are designed by the stakeholders working on space and its related including INGOs, NGOs, government agencies, sensitizing the world over on the need to protect the layer by reducing activities that can cause gas emission into the atmosphere

Jumali as a training academy join the world over to commemorate the day.
