INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CLEAN AIR FOR BLUE SKIES; 7th September.
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared the 7th day in September every year as International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. The observance started in the year 2019 to date. This year marking the fourth year. Every year has its own theme showcasing the importance attached to clean air for blue skies.
Clean air importance can’t be overemphasized for human health and their own daily lives.
The day calls for collective efforts by all stakeholders in transformation and the way air is being polluted and how it can be minimized for blue skies, thus adding beauty to the upper environment making it attractive. The day is aimed to
strengthen International cooperation in improving air quality and reducing air pollution among the populace of the world.
Some of the advantages of clean air include among others;
It lessen the possibility of diseases from stoke, heart disease, lung cancer as well as chronic and acute respiratory illness such as asthma.
Low level of air pollution are better for heart and respiratory heart in both long and short term.
