WORLD MIGRATORY BIRDS DAY; 8th May.
Birds are flying animals, , they fly from one place to another in search for better space for their breeding, food and shelter. They are of different species and colours, they are found in different regions of the world.
The 8th of May every year has been declared by United Nations as World Migratory Birds day, a day designated to commemorate with world of birds who fly from one part of the world to another. The migration normally occurr seasonally, depending on the period of the year.
There are four distinct seasons viz; autumn, spring, winter and summer. These birds that are migratory in nature take the advantage of the season and fly to a favourable area where they breed and search for food and shelter.
Organizations, government and Non Governmental, as well as Civil Society Organizations working on animals specie protection on this day organise activities to enlighten the public on their importance and the need to conserve and protect the birds from extinction so as to keep the environment safe for them
Jumali as an organisation as well as training academy join the world of birds especially the migratory ones in nature to commemorate the day.
