WORLD EDUCATION DAY, 24TH JANUARY.
Today is observed as world education day, it is also known as International Day of Education. It is an annually observed every 24th of January.
Education is a human right, a public good and a public responsibility.
Today marks the 5th year of it observance. It is a United Nations General Assembly declared in 2018.
The day celebrates the role of education for peace and development of the world. The as it is calls for maintaining strong political mobilization around education and chart the way to translate commitment and global initiative into action.

On this day all education related INGOs, NGOs Civil Society Organizations, Government institutions organise activities to commemorate the day may include among others; Improvement in games, brain writing, concept mapping, real time reaction, chain note etc.
A call on education to the stakeholders;-
Education most be prioritizef to accelerate progress towards all the sustainable development goals as against the backdrop of a global recession, giving inequalities and the climate crisis.
