ARABIC LANGUAGE DAY,18TH DECEMBER.
Today the 18th of December is observed as Arabic language day. It is an annually observed day which started in 2012.
The day was set aside by the United Nations General Assembly to create awareness on the contribution of the Arabic language to human civilization and culture.
Arabic language is a pillar of the cultural diversity of humanity. It is the most widely spoken language in the world. It is the 6th official language of the Organization.
On this day UNESCO shed light on the numerous contributions of Arabic to humanity, cultural and linguistic diversity as well as knowledge production.
Among activities for the day may include round table discussions and cultural performances by
NGOs, and other Civil Society Organizations as well as schools teaching and learning Arabic language.
To celebrate the day, activities may include
Learn a few Arabic words
Practice with Arabic speaking friends
Read some Arabic poetry.
Jumali as a training academy join the world to observe the day and call the general public to emulate the culture of learning and practicing Arabic language.
