INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR TOLERANCE, 16th November.
The ability to endure pain or hardship is tolerance. Tolerance could also be the practice of acceptance or patience with belief or opinion.
Today the 16th of November is declared by UNESCO for this purpose . It is annual observance day since 1995.
The day was aimed at generating public awareness for the danger of intolerance. It is a time for people to learn about respecting and recognising the rights and beliefs of others. It is a time of reflection and delete on the negative effects of intolerance.
Activities for the day may include discussions, debate both on line visual across the world to digest on implications of various forms of injustice, oppression, racism, and unfair discrimination have on society.
Jumali and MDSCF join the rest of the world to observe the day.
