WORLD HEPATITIS DAY, 28th July.

Today all over the world is observed as World Hepatitis Day, a day declare by United Nations General Assembly. It is among the World Health Organization (WHO) honoured day.

Hepatitis is a liver disease that is either hereditary or communicable. Hepatitis are of different types and grades ranges from Hepatitis A or B, in either of the types, education and information are vital to curtail the spread of it.

The day is aimed at creating awareness on the disease, viz-a-viz; meaning, ways of contracting, prevention, control and treatment.
Thousands and millions of people contacted the disease through various ways which need to be tackled to avoid further spread.
Government and
NGOs, as well as Civil society organizations working on health and health related issues collaborate with WHO and other health donor agencies to promote the day by organizing programmes and events to create awareness.

Theme is usually drawn every year to commemorate the day which is written and agreed by health organisations and stakeholders in the observance of the day.
