WORLD CANCER DAY, 04- FEBRUARY, 2022.

Today, the 4th of February is observed as World Cancer Day. Cancer is defined medically as a disease in which the cells of a tissue undergo uncontrolled (and often rapid) proliferation. Figuratively, cancer is something which spreads within something else damaging the later. In either of the two, we will look at cancer as a disease.
The day is a United Nations declared day with the aim of raising awareness of cancer and to encourage it’s prevention, detection, and treatment and to end the injustice of preventable suffering from cancer. The day also seeks to create awareness and to reduce stigma, to show support for those affected by cancer.
Activities are organized by various NGOs, CBOs, Civil Society Organizations and other relevant Government organizations working on health related issues ranging from seminars, workshops, and on-line programs to raise awareness of the cancer pandemic.
A theme is drafted every year which explored the power of collective and individual action to reduce the impact of Cancer.
We at Jumali in partnership with MDSCF join the world of NGOs and other Government health related organizations to raise awareness on cancer.
Happy World Cancer Day from JTSLTA/MDSCF.
