INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR TOLERANCE, 16TH NOVEMBER.
We need tolerance in all our dealings, between and among the various groups, religion and culture.
Tolerance is an act of humanity, which we must nurture and enact in our own lives every day, to rejoice in the diversity that makes us strong and the values that bring us together.
The ability to endure pain, hardship ,endurance. The practice of acceptance or patience with the beliefs and opinion or practices of other are all seen as tolerance.
International day for tolerance is annual observed day on the 16th of November. The day was declared by United Nation Education and Scientific Cooperation (UNESCO) with the sole aim of generating public awareness on the danger of intolerance. On this day, people are expected to learn about respecting and recognizing the rights and beliefs of others. also a time to reflect and debate on the negative effects of intolerance.
Activities of the day across the UNESCO member nations may include live discussions and debates through the media house which focus on the various forms of injustice, oppression, racism and unfair discrimination affects the society.
