WORLD REFUGEE DAY, 20th June.
Today is world refugee day, it is an annually observed Day in more than 100 countries. To commemorate the day, government officials, humanitarian workers, celebrities, civilian and refugees are involved. It was aimed to raise awareness of the plight of refugees.
The UNCHR encourages people to mark the day by attending local World Refugee Day events, watching and sharing videos and by raising awareness on social media. This is a key moment for the public to show support for families forced to flee.
The call for investment in communities that host refugees to help ease the pressure on the host and to help refugees become self-relient.
Jumali and MDSCF join the world over to commemorate the day by creating awareness to the public on the day.
