FLAG DAY, 14th June.
Flag day is a day designated for flying a certain flag( such as national flag) . It is a day set aside to celebrate a historic event such as a nation’s adoption of its flag. The day is usually codified in national statutes passed by legislative bodies or parliaments; however, in some countries a decree or proclamation may specify locations where flags are flown and how in the United States (US), The day is celebrated to commemorates the adoption of the flag of United States . On this day flags are flown at full or half-mast alternatively, custom may prevail. In Nigeria , the Flag represented in the colours of Green and White is significant to the unity and independence of Nigeria.
Jumali and MDSCF rejoice with the world over on this day to create awareness to the general public especially CBOs, CSOs, Government on the existance of this day and what this day entails.
