15th May is International Day of Families. The day is a day that creat awareness on the meaning and the important role played by the family. Family is a group consisting of one or two parents and their children and their close relations, It also means those related to each other. Family developed and expand from a single father and mother . This union later expands to children , grand children and great grand children to many generations related by blood, law or otherwise. The day is special for the families in the world over where all members of a particular family share joy and happiness anong their family members. Some of the roles of a family include among others; Source of joy, Sustenance of family and family name, Source of offspring generation, Source of family race, Source of nation builders. Family carter for the welbeing of every member. Upbringing of the up-coming generations.
As we are celebrating this day, remember that you belong a family, you support members to show the tie among yourselves, members are encouraged to show love, care and affection to one another.
As the world is faced with pandemic of covid-19, every family is affected directly or indirectly with it. Jumali and MDSCF join the world over to rejoice with the family and call CSOs, NGOs, Government and Co-operate bodies and philanthropist to provide support so as to cushioned the impact faced by families in this pandemic period . Just remember that the society is formed from the members of different families
