13th of April is observed as International Special Librarian’s Day.

Today the 13th of April is observed as International Special Librarian’s Day. The day honors the unique contributions made by information professionals by promoting their critical roles in the global information community.
As we are still battling with coviid-19 pandemic, this group of people have a role to play in providing informations on the preventive measures of the pandemic.
Call are still being made by authority that include; staying at home, practicing regular hand washing, restrictions of movement from and to the infected areas,reporting any signs and symptoms noticed on covid-19, observing all measures given by medical experts as well as avoidance of crowd of people among others.
The ultimate way to contail the spread of the pandemic also include indulgence in intensive prayers to seek God’s intervention.
The day is tradionally celebrated as a week long event which is generally the second full week in the month of April.
While we are observing the day, we should remember the global critical issue at hand so as to bring it to an end.
