World Water Day 22, March 2020
Are you 22 March aware that 22nd of March every year is observed as World Water Day. The day highlights the importance of freshwater and also advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The day also brings to light the inequally of access to WASH services and the need to ensure the human right to water and sanitation.
The day is celebrated in a variety of events, they can be educational, theatrical, musical or lobbying in nature and also as campaign to raise awareness on importance of freshwater and to money for water project. It is also to learn more about water- related issues and to take action to make a difference, issues include water scarcity, water pollution, in adequate water supply, lack of sanitation and the impacts on climatic change.
The is observed with a theme which is normally on World Water Day website, the activities, events and volunteer opportunities are announces there.
Jumali in partnership with MDSCF join the world over ie Governmental, International Non Governmental and Civil Society Organisations working on water and sanitation in the promotion of the days activities as wel as creating awareness on the importance of the day. Water is Life, water is everything.
