INTERNATIONAL HUMAN SOLIDARITY DAY, 20 Dec 2019

Heh is another important day known as INTERNATIONAL HUMAN SOLIDARITY DAY that is observed on this day every year. The day was set aside to remind people on the importance of solidarity in working towards eradicating poverty. The event of the day is promoted through all forms of media platforms such as magazine articles, speeches at official events, and web blogs from groups, individuals or organizations committed to universal solidarity. Governents are reminded of their commitments to international agreements on the need for human solidarity as an innitiative to fight against poverty, banning land mines, making health and medication accessible to those in need, relief efforts to help those who suffered the effects of natural or human-made disasters, achieving universal education, fight against poverty, corruption and terrorism.
Also on this day, people are encouraged to debate on ways to promotes solidarity and find innovative methods to help eradicate poverty.
Jumali as a leadership hub in partnership with MDSCF join the world over to commemorate the day by contributing in their own ways in promoting the theme as it relates to poverty eradication and other topical issues affecting the world at large.
