1st December is observed as WORLD AIDS DAY.
1st December is observed as WORLD AIDS DAY. It is observed annually. The day is dedicated in raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. Government and health officials, NGOs, and individuals around the world observe the day, often with education on AIDS prevention and control awareness campaigns.
This day is among other official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Activities marking the day all aiming at enlighten the public on the pandemic include; rally, sensitization seminars, road show, film show, talk show, group counselling and testing and lots more.
Material carrying messages on HIV/AIDS are printed and distributed to the general public with theme of every year to commemorate the day.
Jumali a leadership hub for future generation also as an organization dealing with teenagers in partnership with MDSCF join the world to pass on the message of the year to all and also create awareness.
