WORLD TOWN PLANNING DAY, 8th Nov. There is a day called World Town Planning Day it is also called World Urbanisation Day. The day was founded in 1949 by a Professor of urbanisation from urban institute in Paris in order to advance public and professional interest in Town planning. The day is celebrated in more than thirty countries from four continents of the world. It is specially recognized to promote the role of planning in creating liveable comnunities. The day presents an execelent opportunity to look at planning from global perspectives, an event which appeals to the conscience of citizens and public authorities in other to draw attention to the environmental impact resulting from the development of towns, cities and territories. Jumali Leadership Training Academy as a leadership institute that trains leaders in partnership with MDSCF joins the world over in calling the leaders and professionals of urban planning in our community to look inward so as to safeguard the emaneting problems that might result from the improper planning.
