This day is an official national holiday in Nigeria celebrated to mark the nation’s proclamation of independence from the British rule. The day is celebrated every year by the Government of Nigeria and festivities are lineup to commemorate the day from morning to evening. festivities are most times alotted for three to four days before the dee day.
