at a particular point in time. Today the world population keeps increasing at geometrical progression ratio as a result, numerous challenges are associated with . The correct figure of the world population is hardly to be arrived at due to prevailing challenges associated with census though the estimated figure stands at 1.8 billion, with some many people shaping social and economic realities, challenging norms and values and building the foundation of the world future. Yet too many young people continue to grapple with poverty, inequality and human rights violations that prevent them from reaching thier personal and collective potential. The day as it is aimed at safeguarding the rights of adolescents and youths and also creating awareness towards providing quality education, decent employment, effective livelihood skill and mentorship for growing population of youths so as to ensure that these young persons’ potentials are fulfilled.
